Hopefully I’m not contributing to the noise on SEOmoz by writing this post, but I think a quick entry on the subject is warranted. Very few people capitalize SEOmoz properly – and by capitalize I mean in terms of grammar (not money). We’re the ones to blame, our name isn’t exactly something anyone would know how to capitalize considering that it’s a combination of an acronym (SEO) and a part of a word (moz). To add to the confusion, our logo is mysteriously all lowercased. I know this isn’t a big deal, but I see enough people writing it incorrectly, so I figured I’d just give you all a quick heads up.
Correct capitalization: SEOmoz
SEO: capitalize it
moz: no caps
Also, to anyone who isn’t in the SEO industry that happens to read this: it’s pronounced essy-oh-ma’s, although it does amuse me to hear sea-moss every one in awhile.
