It is not like I think about issues like the one mentioned in the title of this article every day, but sometimes (especially when I’ve been in an unusual situation for a few days) it happens. I was thinking today – why are some people successful online and why some aren’t? What is that thing that differentiates successful people from the “normal” ones and the ones you may call “losers”?
The answers is as simple as any other answer to a question one may ask is, though it’s in a nature of a human being to make things more complex than they are (look, even I made this sentence more complicated than necessary). There is no difference between success online and offline, but it is difficult to understand while one hasn’t had success and failures online and offline.
To become successful online one must have the same qualities, the same skills, the same amount of knowledge and dedication to reach the target as when one tries to be successful offline.
5 DO’S to build a successful career in SEO:
- Be self-confident. If you do not believe in yourself and your skills, no one ever will. It’s like Adidas ad says: Impossible is nothing.
- Be passionate. If you can’t be passionate about SEO, stop reading this and go do something you really enjoy.
- Be helpful. Most expensive things are the ones you get for free and knowledge is the greatest capital of all. Be wise and benefit from that. Be a giver, not a taker.
- Be persistent. Rome was not built in one day and neither are careers. You will never achieve your goals if you stop trying after you’ve failed once or twice. It’s not about how many times you fall, it’s about how many times you get up.
- Be flexible. Do not focus too hard on techniques you used 2 years ago, last year or even 6 months ago. What worked yesterday might not work today. Acquire new techniques and always measure, repeat and refine them.
3 DON’TS to build a successful career in SEO
- Don’t be greedy. You can’t take all the goods of the world to the afterlife. Share when you have a lot and you might receive when you have less.
- Don’t hesitate. Every single day you skip or delay doing something you get worse in that, and there are a lot of things that are impossible to catch up.
- Don’t argue. There is no way you can avoid looking stupid during a fight over the internet, and you don’t want to look stupid in a place where everybody sees you under any circumstances. It is so much better to share an opinion than to engage into word fight.
